Monday Night Football: Bears @ Redskins line and spread

Week 3 of NFL football will conclude with the Monday Night Football game between the Chicago Bears and the Washington Redskins. After a pretty interesting weekend, it’s time to close the football week with what promises to be an entertaining game and quite the chance for bettors to lock in some “sure thing” when these two bottom-table teams meet.

Of course, being at the bottom of your division’s table is not alike: The Redskins are off to an awful start with two loses, while the Bears are at the bottom of the NFC North with a .500 percentage. Washington was outplayed in the season opener by the beat-up Eagles at home and had no chance on the road against Dallas, while Chicago lost their opener against division rivals Green Bay in a very boring a low scoring game, but bounced back on the road against struggling Denver. Either way, both teams will view the Monday Night Football game as an excellent opportunity to add another W to their stats – we are looking forward to this matchup.

The sportsbooks naturally have the Bears as the favorite, but it seems they are also expecting an interesting game tonight. We will start the preview of the Chicago @ Washington game with the betting line and point spread posted at Bookmaker. Here the line on the Bears is currently at -240, while the Redskins will pay out on +200 odds, should they manage to pull off an upset on Monday night. The Bears v Redskins spread is -5 points chalk Chicago and the total expected by the sportsbook is at 41 points even. The betting odds don’t differ much at the Bovada sportsbook, where the line on the Bears is also -240 and the line on the Redskins +200. The point spread on the game here is a bit more generous towards Washington, who are handicapped at +5.5, with the Bears spread at -5.5, although looking at the current vig at this sportsbook, it won’t be a surprise if the point spread lines up at -5 with the rest of the sportsbooks.
